Price of Gold Per Ounce
The price of gold is usually quoted in US Dollars per (Troy) Ounce and this is the recognised unit for trading gold around the world. The daily Price of Gold Per Ounce is fixed twice daily in London by the five members of the London gold pool, all members of the London Bullion Market Association. The fixes start at 10.30 a.m., and 3.00 p.m. London time. It is usually the pm 'London Fix' Price of Gold Per Ounce that is accepted as the daily price which is used in historical gold price charts.
